I love the flavour and versatility of this vegetable. It’s part of the cabbage family and tastes mild and sweet, a bit like a turnip. There are so many interesting things you can do with it! *JB Prince Tweezers These are a simple bit of kit, but by far the best tool for precision finishing for the final dressing on a plate.
The Big Green Egg
Whether you’re cooking in a restaurant kitchen or at home, this is the most modern way to barbecue. I can do everything from grilled salads to fish, meat, vegetables and fruit – anything, you name it!
Gin & Tonic
I don’t drink a lot of wine or even beer, but I love a large gin and tonic at the end of the day. Since I’m trying to lose a wee bit of weight, I’ve recently been opting for slimline tonic, and it’s still delicious!
Kitchen Aid Hand Blender
It sounds simple, but this is a really good piece of kit and very convenient as it’s compact and cordless. It has loads of different applications, too, so it’s very versatile.
Both the pungent smell and unpleasant texture really put me off.
Again, it’s the smell and texture that I can’t stand. It reminds me of hospital food, where I spent plenty of time getting my knees sewn up after playing football.
I don’t like to waste anything and prefer using every part of an ingredient. There’s always something you can make with food trimmings.
Although we all love it on the odd occasion, I tend to steer clear of processed food these days, as it’s hard to work out what’s actually in it!
The devil’s fingers! I’ve never liked the vegetable and probably never will – it doesn’t look appealing and the flavour doesn’t do much for me either.
